Today I was perus­ing the selec­tion of DVDs at Cub Foods (because they are cheap, that’s why!). I noticed a num­ber of copies of Harry Pot­ter and the Philosopher’s Stone. Yes, look at it again: Harry Pot­ter and the Philospher’s Stone. I just stared and stared. It was very curious.

A marketing idea I hadn’t seen before

Dri­ving through the town of Ghent, Min­nesota (pop­u­la­tion 315) today, I spot­ted a large sign on one of the street cor­ners. It was adver­tis­ing a “Paint and Boot Sale.” I am still scratch­ing my head about that.
